CBSE Grading System 2010 and CGPA to Percentage Calculator 2010

CGPA to Percentage Calculator
The CGPA is the average of Grade Points obtained in all the subjects excluding additional 6th subject as per Scheme of Studies.

An indicative equivalence of Grade Point and Percentage of Marks can be assessed as follows :

  • Subject wise indicative percentage of marks = 9.5 x GP of the Subject.

  • Overall indicative percentage of marks = 9.5 x CGPA
This year CBSE board for the very first time introduced results based on Grading Systems.

As the board results have been declared today, the 28th of May, 2010 at 10am students are very much confused with this new system.

The grade system will make the education system more flexible at least for class 10 students. Hence there will be no toppers from this batch onwards.

With the board replacing marks with grades from this year onwards, the anxiety level, stress and expectations among parents and students have become minimal.

An overview of the Grade system :
91-100 – A1
81 -90 – A2
71 -80 – B1
61-70 – B2
51 -60 – C1
41 -50 – C2
33-40 – D
21-32 – E1
00-20 – E2
